Job Scope: As a construction sales representative, your job is to help buy and sell the equipment and materials needed for construction. In this role, you may call a customer to follow up on inquiries, act as the rep for your company when pursuing a lead, make a sales pitch to a potential customer, and provide feedback to your employer about the success rate of each marketing method. This job often requires traveling to trade shows, demonstrating products to customers, and prospecting for new customers. Required Skills and Experience • 3-5 years Industrial (safety, construction, oilfield) outside sales experience • Knowledge of Greater Houston Area • Valid Drivers license with good driving record • Availability to work 6:30am-6:30pm • Proficient computer skills – MS Office • Customer service skills, listening skills, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and creativity. • Fulfilling the responsibilities and duties of a construction sales representative requires the ability to memorize information about your products, the ability to use various types of equipment to demonstrate your products, familiarity with procuring materials, and the ability to understand complex construction documents.
