Several regular neighborhood cats get drinks from our birdbath, but today an unusual young (8 months to a year) tabby showed up. I called, but he or she ran. It is a new cat in the neighborhood and looks cared for, so might be a recent loss for someone. The markings are unusual. I couldn't get a photo so I'm attaching an image of a cat with similar markings so you get the idea if it might be your cat or kitten. There are no coyotes around here, so chances are you can find him/her if you look soon.
