Taste the bounty of springtime wild edibles in Vermont! Wild edibles lecture and tasting, followed by a garden dinner, tea and dessert.
What better time to taste Vermont's edible landscape than May, as all the Spring greens, mushrooms and flowers emerge!
Join chef-anthropologist-wildcrafter team Anna Mays and Richard Witting for a lecture and guided tasting of edible wild plants growing in the Burlington area. The lecture will include a history of wild crafting and foraging in New England, sustainable and safe harvesting practices and the nutritional benefits, preparation methods and traditional uses of each plant.
After we have learned to identify each plant and tasted their flavor profile, we will share a buffet dinner featuring different preparations of wild ingredients. Dinner followed by tea and dessert. Limited to 12 people for distanced seating.
