Daffy and Dusty Hello! Our names are Daffy Silver hooded rattie top rated Rattie) and Dusty (black Berkshire top eared rattie)!! We are both around 9m-1y old. We were rescued from a really bad hoarding situation in Santa Monica. Where there were over 100 of us ratties running around in our previous owners apartment. It was so yucky in there, some of the people who came to help rescue us couldn’t even walk into the apartment. We lived in so much trash and filth, we were covered in pee and poop when rescued. We were all extremely dehydrated and scared. The people who rescued us found us hiding in cabinets, behind the fridge, inside a mattress, in piles of clothes, trash and more. Thankfully a rescue stepped in and helped us get out of that yucky place!! We are very sweet and gentle boys! Due to our past home we are still getting used to humans and that we can trust them. We have never bit anyone, we are just shy at times. We are looking for a patient forever home who understands we need time to adjust and get comfortable in our new home. We love each other but we are scared of other rats, as we were attacked by other male rats in our previous living situation. So we need to only be caged together and we need to be adopted together!! We have both came so far, we enjoy head pets, and don’t mind to be held for short periods but due to our past situation we are still learning how to trust people. If you are looking to adopt us please contact the rescue who is our temporary home until we find our forever one!! Adoption fee: $30 and we will come with some treats and a small baggie of old bedding to help us better adjust to our new home!
