Do you like gardening and working with preschoolers? Are you a teacher and want a part-time job interacting with children and teaching about nature? Piping Rock Equestrian is looking for someone to run our farm and nature enrichment program for children ages 4-7 years old. The perfect person will be knowledgeable about gardening, nature, and educate children about the world around them. Every day, your job will to encourage children to think actively with their hands, body, and mind while encountering many types of materials, get dirty with nature, and explore ideas from different points of view. A typical day could be planting seeds in our garden, building nests like birds, jumping from logs in our natural playground, and taking our goats on a nature walk. Montessori, Reggio, Waldorf, preschool, education, teacher Must like animals and be comfortable working with them. We have farm animals that you will need to help care for (grooming, walking around, and the occasional feeding/watering). Our farm animals include miniature horses, ducks, chickens, goats, alpacas, mini donkeys, and a mini cow. Camp is offered in a morning session from 9 am-12 pm so hours are from 8:30-12:30. If you are interested in a full-time position and can ride horses, that is also available.
