This position assists in developing, organizing, and conducting programs to provide education for conditions and problems relating to drug and alcohol abuse. Conducts or assists in conducting individual or group counseling sessions and programs Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; and a certification as a drug and alcohol counselor. Ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group counseling settings.. The ability to do GAINS testing and provide MRT and CBT Therapy are preferred but not required. The CADC Counselor is responsible for providing confidential addiction counseling, education and support to individuals, families and the community and for promoting healthy lifestyles and healthy choices. In this role. Some duties may include, but not limited to: Counsel clients or patients, individually or in group sessions, Assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes. Complete and maintain accurate records or reports regarding the patients' histories and progress, services provided, or other required information. Provide clients or family members with information about addiction issues and about available services or programs, making appropriate referrals when necessary. Complete assessments and status reviews Must meet Idaho code for Qualified Substance Use Disorder Professional Computer skills necessary to maintain client charts and communication within the organization; Excellent communication skills. Must be able to pass an Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Criminal History Unit enhanced background check. We have other openings as well. Please be sure and check out our webpage
