WESTBOROUGH, MA — All Massachusetts residents over age 16 have been eligible for the vaccine for three weeks now, and the first two weeks of data have been released by the state. Forty-three percent of Westborough residents as a whole are fully vaccinated, on par with the state's rate. Roughly 2.77 million people have been full vaccinated in Massachusetts, the state reported Thursday—that's roughly 40 percent. Fifteen percent of Westborough residents under the age of 30 have received both doses of the vaccine. Four in five of Westborough's oldest residents — people over the age of 75 — have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state's data. Roughly 30 percent of the town's residents have received just the first dose. Westborough reported 42 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to May 4 according to the state report released Thursday, placing it in the "yellow" zone.
