Comprised of up to 9 dynamic musicians - all veteran performers with years of live performance skill - The Funk Brotherhood features a groove-inspiring rhythm section comprised of drums, bass, guitar and keys. Add to this a 3 piece horn section along with tight vocal harmonies and you've got the perfect blend to deliver hit after hit and keep you up and moving to the beat all night long. The Four Fathers - If one were able to somehow distill the spirit of Jimmy Smith, George Benson, Grant Green, and Soullive into a secret sauce that was pressed onto vinyl and then blasted through a Leslie cabinet, it might sound a little something like Athens newest soul jazz supergroup "The Four Fathers." Its members have graced the stage with mainstays like Funk Brotherhood, Allgood, Liquid Dynamite, Squat, JazzChronic, Bernie Worrell, and the Hot Hotty Hots, and this diversity of experience is the catalyst behind the group's performing style.
