Medford Firefighters Battle Early Morning Garage Fire

MEDFORD, MA — Medford firefighters battled a garage fire on Sherwood Road early Saturday morning. The Medford Firefighters Local 1032 said four engines and two ladders responded to the fire in a detached, two-car garage. They arrived to find the fire well-involved with heavy smoke coming from the garage. They said they were able to prevent it from spreading. "The fire was put out quickly put out and surrounding exposures were protected," the union said. There were no reported injuries. The structure, a detached two-car garage, was fully involved upon arrival. The fire was quickly put out and surrounding exposures were protected.
