The Cook’s Nook Facilities and Kitchen Porter We are looking to employ a highly efficient Porter to maintain the state of our kitchen, office, and event space. The Porter will work with the Operations Manager to ensure that our members enjoy a consistently clean and organized work space, while assisting our own kitchen staff as cleaning and washing support personnel. To be successful as our Facilities and Kitchen Porter, you should take pride in the presentation of the space, and passion in the mission of The Cook’s Nook. Porter Responsibilities ● Maintaining kitchen supply stocks and reporting supplies that have fallen below par ● Coordinating waste pickup and return, keeping waste carts clean ● Light repair work and assembly projects ● Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, kitchen equipment, event space, bathrooms, and grounds ● Washing, drying, and returning cookware to storage in coordination with kitchen staff ● Ensuring that refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas are clean and organized ● Receiving, unpacking, and storing of deliveries ● Stock and organize cleaning and maintenance supply room ● Reporting on state of the kitchen to Operations Manager Requirements ● High school diploma or GED ● Proven experience in assisting commercial kitchen or production environments ● Can do attitude and the ability to work as a part of a team
