DEDHAM, MA — All Massachusetts residents over age 16 have been eligible for the vaccine for three weeks now, and the first two weeks of data were released by the state.
Forty-two percent of Dedham residents as a whole are fully vaccinated, on par with state rates. Roughly 2.77 million people have been full vaccinated in Massachusetts, the state reported Thursday—that's roughly 40 percent.
Thirteen percent of Dedham residents under the age of 30 have received both doses of the vaccine, and 60 percent of Dedham's oldest residents — people over the age of 75 — have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state's data. Roughly 16 percent of the town's residents have received just the first dose.
Dedham reported 42 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to May 4 according to the state report released Thursday, placing it in the "yellow" zone.
