ACTON, MA — All Massachusetts residents over age 16 have been eligible for the vaccine for three weeks now, and the first two weeks of data have been released by the state. Just over 40 percent of Acton residents as a whole are fully vaccinated, on par with state vaccination rates. Roughly 2.77 million people have been full vaccinated in Massachusetts, the state reported Thursday—that's roughly 40 percent. Thirteen percent of Acton residents under the age of 30 have received both doses. More than 85 percent of Acton's oldest residents — people over the age of 75 — have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state's data. A quarter of the town's residents have received just the first dose. Acton reported 22 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up May 4 according to the state report released Thursday, placing it in the "green" zone.
