Successful students will earn the certification necessary to obtain the Mississippi Enhanced Conceal Carry permit. LOCATIONClassroom (8am-Noon): New Discovery Christian Church961 Vinson RoadHernando, Ms 38632Range (1pm-5pm):Coldwater, Ms. Exact location will be disclosed during classFIREARM/AMMUNTION REQUIREMENTSA pistol that you can shoot accurately. Preferably, the one you intend to use for carry/self defense.Pistol must be in proper, safe operating condition. If upon inspection at the range or anytime during qualifying the pistol is deemed unsafe, it can no longer be used. This determination is solely at the discretion of the instructors and is non-negotiable.At least 50 rounds of ammunition of the appropriate caliber for the pistol you intend to shoot. Instructors will inspect all ammunition before use. Ammunition is scarce right now so make sure you have enough before signing up for the class.Loaner pistols in calibers 9mm, .380, and .22 are available but NO AMMUNITON WILL BE PROVIDED.PAY ATTENTION TO DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS IN RANGE SAFETY SECTIONCOVID19 PROTOCOLMasks are available but not required.Hand sanitizer will be provided.Tables arranged according to social distancing guidelines.Some soda and water will be provided. Students can bring their own drinks and snacks.CLASSROOM SAFETYNO AMMUNITION ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM. NO EXCEPTIONSOnly unloaded firearms that will be used for qualifying are allowed in class and must be inspected by an instructor upon entering the building.RANGE SAFETYSafety glasses and hearing protection are required.No low-cut shirts or sandals/flip flops. Hot brass is ejected from the firearms and can land on the exposed skin in your shirt or on your feet. This usually results in the shooter inadvertently pointing their loaded firearm at someone in the class while they jump around trying to stop the brass casing from burning them. This may sound silly, but it happens all the time.
