First Retail Leases Signed For Growing Civita Urban Village In Mission Valley

By Chris Jennewein, Times of San Diego May 8, 2021 Sudberry Properties announced it has leased or is in negotiation on nearly half of the 18,000-square-foot first phase of retail space at The Row at Civita. The mixed-use development, which is located at 7995 Civita Boulevard in Mission Valley, also includes 434 apartments and associated recreational amenities. The retail leases include: El Tianguis Rolled Taquitos, a fast-casual restaurant reminiscent of traditional markets in Mexico.Southpaw Veterinary, a family-owned and operated clinic.Cork and Barrel, an upscale bottle shop offering premium wines, beer and spirits.The Row at Civita is designed for ultimately 380,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment venues, 170,000 square feet of office space, up to 735 residential units, and a hotel with up to 150 rooms. The mixed-use development is expected include a grocery store, movie theater, restaurants, shops, services, outdoor dining venues, gathering spaces and landscaped plazas with water features. "We have been involved in the development of town centers in San Diego County for 40 years," said Colton Sudberry, president of Sudberry Properties. "The Row at Civita represents an evolutional leap in town center design in terms of ambiance, amenities and heightened guest experiences." Civita is a transit-oriented urban village built around a 14.7-acre central park and traversed by a network of pedestrian paths.
