National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, and those who continue to serve and protect our communities. Sheriff Dwight Baird said, "I have the utmost respect for the men and women of the Kendall County Sheriff's Office and law enforcement across the country.  It is important to honor all the men and women who have made it their profession to put the safety of others before their own, and to honor those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities."
