Description

My former foster is looking for a new home. Her adopter wasn’t able to gain her trust, she won’t let him touch her, barely eating and it’s very hard for him to get her inside from the backyard. When there’s my dog around, she’s absolutely comfortable and lets anyone touch her, gives him kisses and takes treats from him. When my dog leaves Nelly is howling and pacing. She’s great with dogs, cats and people but she must have another dog with her. She’s not at risk, she’ll go back to my foster if she’s surrendered but she needs a permanent home. Here’s detailed bio: Nelly is a very sweet, devoted and loving dog. She is potty and house trained, and can stay home alone as long as she has another dog to keep her company. She cannot stay home for a long time without another person or a dog at this time. Once she’s adjusted to her new home, she is very low maintenance, but don’t leave her alone for long periods of time in the first weeks. During the day she will follow you everywhere and lay by your side. Despite young age (3 years old), she does not need an extensive amount of exercise and will be happy with daily leashed walks with you. Nelly gets slowly attached to new people and she wasn’t able to transition into her adopted home from her foster home. She absolutely MUST have another friendly dog in her new home. She’s more friendly with women and children. Once she has her emotional support dog, she’s absolutely friendly to everyone, soliciting pets and taking treats. Nelly is looking for an adopter who can be patient with her during few days or weeks when Nelly get used to them. Nelly was living with children but we don’t advise children under 7 due to her timid nature. Nelly is very friendly to all dogs she met and successfully living with a cat now. She loves playing with dogs and will be a great exercise buddy for your dog.
