Description
New Ska Band band needs a badass lady lead singer. Band is playing new and old punk and ska tunes, writing originals, and making ska and punk versions of pop tunes. Band already has gigs in the pipeline for mid to late summer and needs a singer immediately. Some bands influencing us include Sonic Boom Six, The Interrupters, Save Ferris, Less Than Jake, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and others.
Lineup is bass, drums, guitar, sax, trombone, and keys. Most of the band sings backups. This group is ready to rock we just need the right lady behind the wheel. Looking for serious vocal pipes, tons of energy, tons of stage presence, and experience being in a band...or willing to learn quickly. Nothing timid about this band...if you like to jump off things and run around the stage...this is absolutely your gig.
Band is 20's to late 30's. Young band at heart but with realistic schedule commitment. We practice once a week and looking to gig maybe once a month but are very picky about where we want to play. The whole band are pros who have been in the business for 10+ years and/or all have touring experience.
