Description
Keyboardist/organist looking for electronic drummer interested in forming an ambient improvisational jam band into late 60s / earl 70s prog, psychedelic, swing jazz. You should have a pro-level electronic drum kit (e.g., Roland, Yamaha, Alesis, etc.)
Some of my favs include: early Yes, Procol Harum, Pink Floyd, Vanilla Fudge, Deep Purple, Strawberry Alarm Clock, The Nice, King Crimson, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway.
Not looking to create a cover band, interested in working on open improvisational structures for exploration; if you're familiar with early Pink Floyd at the UFO club, that's the basic idea.
If you know who Bill Bruford is; and if he happens to be one of your favorite drummers, we're off to a great start!
