Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 05/08/2021 211281903 Preliminary information:  On May 8, 2021 at around 8:23 p.m., officers responded to 327 Peters St SW on a person shot call.  Upon arrival, officers located a male with multiple gunshot wounds.  The male was transported to the hospital alert, conscious and breathing for further medical treatment.  Preliminary investigation indicates two vehicles were involved in a minor accident and pulled into a nearby parking lot to wait for police.  While waiting, the parking attendant working the parking lot got into a verbal argument with one of the people involved in the accident due to them taking up space in the lot. Shortly after, multiple people arrived at the parking lot and opened fire striking the male who was involved in the argument with the parking attendant. At this time, it is believed only one person was shot.  Investigators were notified and will be working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.  The investigation continues.       Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
