Entry-Level Position: Surveillance Investigator Starting Compensation: $15.50 per hour, earning $38,000-$42,000 in the first year of employment. Schedule and Hours: 5 days on, 2 days off (10-12 hour shifts, includes weekends and holidays, frequent overtime. Must be available to work all 7 days!) Select candidates will move on to the video interview stage of the interviewing process. Candidates that are selected to move on to the next stage will complete a Ride Along skills assessment with the trainer, followed by a background check. The top candidate(s) will be contacted for a job offer shortly thereafter. What is DigiStream Investigations? We are an insurance fraud investigation firm working with law firms, insurance companies, and employers as a third party to investigate their suspicious liability and workers’ compensation claims. What does a Surveillance Investigator at DigiStream Investigations do? The Surveillance Investigator follows a subject that is claiming they cannot work due to an injury, obtains video evidence on the subject, and writes a report based on the events of the day. Do I have to bring my own equipment? No -- we provide all of the equipment for you, including a company vehicle, fuel and maintenance cards, video camera, tripod, laptop, wifi hotspot, etc. What does a typical day look like with this position? Early-morning starts, driving to and setting up in your subject's neighborhood, and waiting for them to get active. When your subject gets active, your goal is to film them for as long as possible and get as much videotape of them as you can. This includes following your subject into stores, gyms, restaurants, etc. Once your case is over for the day, you head home, write your report, and upload your video footage.
