SUMMARY: The Golf Cart Attendant works closely with the Golf Manager on the outside golf operations to assure a smooth transition for customers around the facility. S/he is responsible for assisting golfers with their clubs, upkeep and cleanliness of the golf carts, as well as providing guests with directions to golf related areas. The Golf Cart Attendant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying Royal Vista Golf Club. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position will meet and greet all customers in a warm, friendly and professional manner in accordance with all facility policies and procedures. Refer all major problems/complaints to a manager and/or assistant manager. Follow procedures in management of the cart fleet. Maintain order and continuity of player traffic. Responsible for daily operations of mechanical and hand machinery and equipment. Keep all working areas attractive, neat and clean free of trash and waste. This position will be responsible for following procedures for proper opening and closing of the cart operations. Responsible for tracking and reporting the need for supplies necessary for day-to-day operations of their given areas. This position will keep in contact with the golf shop counter to assure efficient transition for golfer to the course. Coordinating with starter to keep level of carts and cart keys abundant. This position will keep the outside area uncontested, neat, and clean. Do not allow cars to clog passage area, arrange them neatly after having been used. This position will assist quests in rules and regulations for safety precautions and to prevent inconveniences to other guests. Responsible for cart cleanliness, cart supplies, cart condition and fueling. As well as the rotation of golf carts to ensure uniform usage amongst the fleet. Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License Basic golf knowledge Basic golf cart operation Preferred Requirements One to Three years' experience in outside golf service position preferred JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit Excellent oral communication skills, ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy times working flexible hours with a positive, enthusiastic outlook. Enthusiastic, outgoing personality Excellent customer service skills Organized, able to work in a busy environment where the priorities are changing Dedicated to improving their own skills and knowledge as well as those of the other team members Team player. Energetic and professional Standing or walking for long periods may be required. Full attendance of scheduled hours is required for this position. WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, sun & heat); Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces; Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 20 lbs. Must be able to bend, squat, & twist on an occasional basis Must be able to perform simple grasping, squeezing, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and fine manipulation occasionally.
