Description
My jam/practice partner is moving to Idaho. I am an intermediate guitar player and looking for someone who is interested in playing electric pre-1960 rock'n'roll, rockabilly, early country, country swing, and/or blues. You might play guitar, bass, violin, snare, sax, even accordion, and/or be a vocalist. I am open to any of that, or~?
I don't care about your gender or gender preference, your age, or what you do in your spare time. But I am not into any drug usage, and my music room is non-smoking.
All I am looking for is someone who knows and wants to cover the music of the period I am describing, or wants to learn it. I'm not interested in original work. I'm sure it's good, but it's not what I want to play. Oh, and you must be fully vaccinated against Covid.
I expect and want this to be an informal, mutually instructive, fun alliance, getting together maybe once or twice a week. I have no intention of -or interest in- forming a band or playing out. This is just for fun and practice and learning.
If you'd like to discuss this further, please call Call Ray ~ five O3 -33three-5 seven six 6 between noon and 7PM, any day.
Here are some people and their songs you should recognize: Gene Vincent: Baby Blue, Race with the Devil -- Eddie Cochran: Jeanie Jeanie Jeanie, Summertime Blues-- Carl Perkins, Honey Don't, Blue Suede Shoes-- Johnny Burnette: Train Kept a-Rollin'--Chuck Berry: Carol, Nadine-- Buddy Holly: Maybe Baby, Not Fade Away-- Fats Domino:Josephine, Poor Me--Tommy Tucker:Hi Heeled Sneakers
Not saying you need to actually know those songs, just recognize them and be interested in practicing and learning from them. I look forward to hearing from you.
