Full-Time Facilities Worker Needed Immediately

Position Summary: The Facilities/Maintenance position will be Sunday and Monday 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Great place to work, full benefits after 90 days paid by employer, and 401k match! Duties include: • Mop all floors. • Empty all trash. • Fill all paper dispensers. • Fill all soap dispensers. • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, mats and shower areas. • Check all glass and mirrors for fingerprints or smudges. • Vacuum front mats and hallway mats. • Vacuum all carpet areas. • Dust. • Unlock fitness building at 5:30am. • Set flex rooms back to normal. • Set ballroom back to normal. • Wipe all table surfaces. • Assist with set-up for events and tear down as needed. • Assist homeowners in troubleshooting any issues that may arise, and if needed, defer to maintenance or front desk staff when they arrive. • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public. Deal with public relation problems courteously and tactfully. • Monitor the entire community including: Pick up trash, clean sports courts, look for slip & trip hazards throughout the community and clean or report as needed. • Pick up daily task lists from both the Facilities Manager and the Business Manager daily as requested by the managers. • Monitor the condition of all entry gates including auto gates, ped gates and golf cart gates for any malfunction or repairs. • Monitor the clearance of all storm drains especially before a storm and during leaf drop season. • Daily monitoring of condition of dog park. Clean as needed. • Assists in preparation and set up for all events during your shifts throughout the building. • Two (2) days janitorial and three days monitoring community grounds. • Refer homeowner requests out in the field to proper persons. • Observe and report any violations, landscape issues or other suspicious activity to a manager to which it applies. • Support Landscape Manager as needed with front yard and common area maintenance. • Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. • High level of independence and self-motivation. • Must be responsible, enthusiastic, and professional and have a flexible attitude. • Knowledge of mechanical janitorial equipment and cleaning procedure systems. • Excellent communication skills. • Must pass background verification. • Proficient in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. • General math skill. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • High school graduation or GED. • 2+ years’ work experience in janitorial services.
