Pay Rate is 20-23/hr Position Summary: Anistar is seeking Experienced Structured Cable Techs for a contract opportunity providing assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables and associated equipment. The ideal candidate must possess the following: Technicians MUST have experience working with various cables that include, but are not limited to: twisted pair, coax, power limited tray, stranded, solid conductor low voltage, Category 5, Category 6, single and multi-mode fiber optic cables. Job Responsibilities: Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT6 cable in a new construction and existing structure commercial environment Dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels) Terminating data jacks Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks) Must be comfortable working off lifts Job Requirements: Pulling, routing, installing and terminating structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial environment. 3+ years’ experience installing voice and data systems in a commercial environment. Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc. Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards. Reliable vehicle and valid driver license.
