Fabricator Job Description 5280 Stone Company LLC has been in business since 2012. Building on experience, we strive to create a seamless process, from quoting to install. We carry a wide variety of products. We carry Granite, Marble, Quartzite, Soapstone, Quartz, and many more. We are looking to add another Fabricator to our team. This candidate must possess a strong work ethic willing to learn and absorb all information. This position requires the employee to be able to read both a tape measure and be able to focus. The Stone Fabricator polishes, edge, and finish stone products according to quality standards. Pay is based on experience. Responsibilities: • Fabrication of custom stone profiles: shape, trim, or touch up roughed-out design with appropriate tools to finish the product and can drill or cut into stone; verifying depths and dimension of cuts and finishes. • Verify depths and dimensions of cuts or carvings to ensure adherence to specifications, blueprints, or models, using measuring instruments. • Custom Polish/Finishing • Stone Cutting • Follow policies and procedures set forth by management. • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Participate in scheduled events that 5280 Stone Company LLC encourages for the team. • Follow the Core Values of 5280 Stone Company LLC o Honor – Do what you say you are going to do when you say you are going to do it. o Excellence – Always strive to be the best at what you do. o Agape – Love everyone you meet with relentless passion and unwavering faith. Qualifications • 3 or more years of experience fabricating natural stone countertops, wall panels, tabletops, vanities, fireplaces, etc. • Extensive knowledge and experience with hand and power tools for stone fabrication. • Knowledge on stone material Handling • General knowledge of natural stones, such as granite, marble, quartz, quartzite, travertine, limestone, etc. • Ability to follow all safety procedures. Such as wearing proper PPE, safe tool and chemical substances handling, reduction of silica dust in the work environment, any other required per state and federal laws. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with employees. • Ability to perform all types of edge work on stone; hone and refinish polished faces. • Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings; cut or shape stone according to drawings and/or templates. • General and practical knowledge of measuring tools, power tools, and equipment utilized in the tile and stone industry. • Willingness to adapt to and accept constructive feedback and implement necessary corrections in a timely manner. • Ability to push, pull, and carry materials 50-100 lbs. and prolonged standing.
