The position is working with individuals with developmental disabilities in their communities. As a counselor you will teach the clients to work independent on their living skills in their home and in the community. The position supports individuals with disabilities in learning how to access their local community resources. Duties would include teaching the client to make a meal plan for the week, make a grocery list, go shopping, make a a few meals and then teach them how to clean the kitchen and their apartments or living spaces. You will also go out and do fun things and social recreational activities. We will train you and training is paid. Part-time and full-time positions available. Starting hourly wage is $15/hr. All applicants need reliable transportation and a clean driving and criminal record. Potential staff needs flexible weekday and/or weekend availability if wanted.
