Position Overview Lanarc Landscaping is growing and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Landscape Maintenance Manager. The Landscape Maintenance Manager must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of residential and commercial landscape maintenance including enhancement sales, design, customer service, estimating, fertilizing, irrigation, pesticide application etc. This position should be well versed and knowledgeable of all aspects of turf and landscape maintenance and management. The Landscape Maintenance Manager grooms the relationship with the client while interfacing with company production and accounting personnel, and interfaces with subcontractors and vendors as required throughout the maintenance process. Maintenance Crew Management • Responsible for supervising multiple crews • Interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training & development of crew members • Performance management & adherence to company policies, procedures and SOPs • On-site management, oversight and auditing of maintenance crews and work effort • Forecasting workload quarterly and monthly, and establishing optimal maintenance schedules • Weekly/daily scheduling of crews with collaboration from Sales Director and Operations Director Scope of Work • Maintains complete and thorough understanding of all contracts and associated scope of work for the following programs. Ensures all crew members have thorough understanding of assigned project scope. • Residential / small account maintenance contracts • HOA maintenance contracts • Home Builder maintenance requirements for Common Area, Models, Production landscape contracts • Manages maintenance chemical program • Knowledgeable of weather current and forecasted, and makes decisions or changes to landscape workplan and crew schedule as needed Account Management • Proactive issue resolution. Foresees obstacles or challenges, creates a plan to address, communicates transparently with crew, Owner and Sales/Operations Director for support and coordination. • Manages billing for maintenance work on a weekly and monthly basis. Partners with the Office Manager for invoice administration of all completed billing. • Manages and keeps up to date Maintenance Database including labor/material history, account contact information, project contracts and quality audit records. • Weekly, Quarterly, Seasonal route scheduling as applicable • Quality assurance and customer satisfaction • Enhancements and contract renewals. Responsible for enhancement sales to clients. Processes all enhancements and ensures that they are priced and processed correctly. • Actively manage HOA (Home Owner’s Association) accounts • Keep current on dates/agenda for established HOA board meetings, maintain positive relationships with key board members. • Attend all HOA board meetings for which we have contracts in place and actively participate to help resolve issues and keep Lanarc in best standing. • Work with Home Builder’s HOA delegate during home building/home sale period. • Collaborate with Sales Director to pitch and sell maintenance contract services to HOA as transition from Home Builder’s HOA delegate • Keeps up to date with all key account critical dates/events including but not limited to parade of homes, home tours, school dates, church events, and other events that may be critical for the best appearance of maintained landscape. Qualifications: AA or BS in Turf Grass or Horticulture is preferred Minimum of five years (preferred) of experience in landscape maintenance in North Carolina region. Minimum of two years of experience managing, supervising, and scheduling employees. Licenses in Pesticides, Herbicides, and other landscape chemicals preferred. Complete and thorough understanding of landscape maintenance and turf management. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards. Clean North Carolina driving record and criminal record. Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain positive client relationships.
