Job Description 14th Street Modern & Vintage Home on 14th Street in Midtown is expanding! We are the largest retailer of designer furniture, fine art, lighting and accessories in Metro Atlanta. Our clients include interior designers, homeowners and buyers for film/television sets. We are hiring for a new warehouse location on the Atlanta/Cobb County line. The position include duties at both our anchor store in Midtown and Thursday thru Saturday at Olympic Industrial Drive. We are looking for a warehouse worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks with furniture, storing and organizing furniture and accessories, and assisting clients loading sold items into their vehicles. Assisting with daily tasks including customer service, facility maintenance and general business operations. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship) Pack moving trucks with fine furniture using best practices for safety and security Receive and process furniture, art, lighting and accessories (unpack, assemble, sort, arrange) Hang art and lighting safely using ladders and best practices Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization Report any discrepancies Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations General handyman and maintenance experience a plus, including painting, carpentry, light plumbing, light electrical Skills: Proven working experience as a mover in the fine furniture or antiques industry Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods Good organizational and time management skills Ability to lift heavy objects High school degree Drivers license and reliable transportation necessary Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 per hour with guaranteed 40 hours per week.
