Description

Work located in and around Raleigh / Durham NC. Accurately reads and records water meters for billing purposes with hand held meter reading devices on designated routes. Checks meters and reports inoperable, damaged or missing meter boxes. Cleans meter boxes and surrounding areas. Routes are assigned on a monthly basis and must be completed within a set time-frame. Duties performed outdoors, with exposure to the elements. Experience in the water works field preferred but not required. Stooping, kneeling and continuous walking required. May be occasionally required to lift objects up to 50 lbs. Interpersonal skills are a must in dealing with other employees as well direct customer contact. Must provide own transportation, have valid drivers license and insurance. - PAY DEPENDENT ON AMOUNT OF METERS READ PER MONTH. - ROUTES LOCATED IN THE Raleigh-Durham AREA - WORK REQUIRES ABILITY TO BEND DOWN AND LIFT METER BOX LIDS - CONTRACT / PART-TIME - 9-12 DAYS / 2350 (+/-) METERS PER MONTH
