The Virginia Reckless Aggressive Driver Education Program Course (RADEP) is a 12 hour driver education course consisting of two parts. The 12-hour RADEP course incorporates the American Automobile Association's 8 hour Driver Improvement Program Course (Part 1) with the National Safety Council's 4 hour Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving Course (Part 2) to meet the 12 hour reckless/aggressive driver Education (RADEP) program requirements . The first session (Part 1) consist of a standard Virginia DMV 8-hour Driver Improvement Course. The second session (Part 2) is an additional 4-hour class that focuses specificlly on reckless and aggressive driving behavior. This two part 12 hour course is usually assigned by a Virginia court to drivers that have committed an offense such as reckless driving which does not involve the use of alcohol.
