Grounded Brooklyn-based singer with a plan who writes and has a killer stage persona is looking for a disciplined guitarist with a rebellious spirit for a rock/pop project with roots in the blues and 80’s indie pop (that’s the short version). Looking to build a band, and guitar comes first in my book. Rhythm with some (or lots) of lead.
If music is your passion, you’re easy to work with, you have time to meet once a week or so, and your guitar can weep, sing the blues, and fight the power — what are you waiting for?!?!
I started writing straight out of college, then earned a scholarship to study opera (which I did for two years), studied with a singer who backed up Beyoncé for another two years, and have done some session work. I’m in the middle of recording a full length project with an industry pro (he’s worked with the majors for over 10 years) and would like to start working in anticipation of live shows starting up sometime (hopefully) soon-ish.
Open to a trade, just lmk what you’re looking for (I sing, write lyrics and/or melodies, write and sing harmonies, play a little keyboard, and have a home studio with Protools) and we can see what may make sense.
