Texas Minority Coalition is excited about reflecting on the history and celebrating the accomplishment of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in America. The guest speaker will be businessman, philanthropist and political enthusiast, Davi David Acharya. Mr. Acharya was born in Napal and now reside in the DFW area. In 2017, he received the Global Humanitarian Award by Governor Gregg Abbott.
The honoree will be Grace C. English, MD who is a practicing board-certified Internal Medicine physician, founder of CARE (Christ-centered Abortion Recovery & Education) & co- founder of Bethesda Health Clinic (clinic for working uninsured adults) with her husband John P. English, MD.
Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is a period for the duration of the month of May for recognizing the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. This is the first time in Texas Minority Coalition three-year history to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Month.
