Volunteer Coaches Needed...Lifting Kids Up! The Angel Tree Football Clinic brings together 7 to14-year-old “Kids of Promise” who have a number of risk factors present in their lives, with high-character, high-quality former College and NFL players for a FREE day of football skills development, mentoring, teamwork, positive role-modeling, leadership development, and just plain amazing fun. We are expecting nearly 200 young boys and girls to participate in this Angel Tree Football Clinic- Dallas! The event will be held at The Star, which is the World-Class Training facility of the Dallas Cowboy, located at 1 Cowboys Way, Frisco, Texas What are the criteria to be a Volunteer Coach? Do you have a background as a former College or Professional football player or current/former Pro, College, High School, or Youth Football Coach? WE NEED YOU! To make the day complete, we need a minimum of 50 Volunteer Coaches to make the Angel Tree Football Clinic the best that it can be! What is the role of a Volunteer Coach? Can you give an encouraging word? Can you slap 'em a "high five" when they make a catch or pat them on the back and tell them "great job" when they don't? Do you remember those "Every Day Drills" that we used to consider pure drudgery? Well for boys like these, learning and performing those same drills with "Legends of the Game", like you, is fun, fun, fun unbounded! Most important, the Volunteer Coaches' role is to lift the kids up...because sometimes when we lift a kid up, they discover the freedom and courage to dream big dreams! What will the day look like? Following the Football Clinic Drills, all the kids, coaches, volunteers, parents, and adult chaperones/caregivers will be treated to a hearty, catered lunch. What time do I need to be there? We request that Volunteer Coaches arrive no later than 8:00 a.m. to check-in and be ready to greet the kids when they arrive. Coaching shirts will be provided for Coaches at the event. The event will end at approximately 3:00 p.m. Do I need to register in advance? YES! All Coaches and other volunteers must register in advance. Due to the nature of the event, all volunteers will be background checked. Volunteering on-site registration is not available. I still have questions, who can I ask?
