Wash and Fold Laundry Services Team Member (PT, FT potential; local only) We strongly prefer people who live in the North Bay due to closer proximity to our location, but will consider people who live within 10 miles of one of the bridges. We are the North Bay’s first major pick-up and delivery wash and fold service. We are seeking team members to wash and fold laundry with attention to detail. Training will be with our current manager or shift leaders in the evening starting at 600pm. After initial training, people will have options for six hour shifts at different potential times (morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight). Team members will have the potential to move up to shift leader roles in which they receive extra bonuses for laundry processed by others on the team. Key requirements include: live in the North Bay (we operate in Corte Madera and Tiburon), have computer proficiency because we use software, have English proficiency. This work will require a strong attention to detail and care about the quality we provide our customers, just as though each team member is interacting directly with the customer. Training will begin as soon as we select someone, and we would like more people in place in case our current team members cannot work. To accommodate the current health and safety protections, interviews will be done by phone. We are in Laundry Services and as an essential service have been operational during the shelter in place orders. We have sufficient space to keep people apart, require masks for now, and have plastic barriers separating folding stations. Compensation for people washing and folding laundry will be the larger amount of a base hourly salary and a production bonus. Base wage $15 per hour paid on 20th of month for previous 1st - 15th and on 5th of month for previous 16th through 30th or 31st. Performance bonus for each prior month increasing pay to potential $20 per hour will also be paid on the 5th, to team members who performed with quality work (no mistakes, and positive customer feedback). Potential production bonuses also paid on the 5th for the prior month may increase dollar amount further if team collectively produced with speed (if 40 cents per pound for everything produced by the team that month exceeded $20/per hour divided by number of hour the team worked, it will be divided among team members). Shift supervisors will also receive a small additional amount on the 5th for the prior month for number of pounds folded by people they are supervising. In future years as our ratio of business customers to residential customers increases and we grow, we hope to also add benefits. We are exploring cashless tipping applications that we can implement in the future that will make it easier for customers who choose to tip to provide tips, which will go into a pool and be divided among production team members and among driving team members monthly (unless a customer directs it to a specific team member by name). We are a family and small business owner. We are not a big company. So, we want managers who will feel as much as possible like they are part of the family who will help us build a “corporate culture” of a team, not of employees doing a job. So far, everyone in the business (and I believe everyone at the software provider we use) are genuinely kind, nice, and caring people. We would like others who join us to be similar. But, we are a young business (launched October, 2018), and reinvesting everything we make back into growth. We cannot afford to have team members who just want a check, move slowly, and make mistakes. Their second, related purpose is to develop and implement processes that help all Laundry Services Professionals receive higher levels of compensation through both processing efficiency and quality-control, leading to customer retention and positive reviews generating new customers. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: We are switching to using two different facilities to keep our team members distanced from each other. Team Members able to work overnight can be completely isolated from the public; day shift can physically separate from public.
