General Laborer (Peninsula area) Residential Contractor seeking general laborer. We are looking for hard-working, self-motivated individual that takes pride in their work. This is a full-time, hourly position. A reliable Vehicle, Insurance, Valid California Driver’s License and Clean DMV are required. Must be eligible to work in USA and have all required documents to complete the statutory I-9 form Strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols is required. Qualifications: The duties listed below are an example of what is required for this position. The job functions canl change or may expand at any time. Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor on remodeling construction projects. Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment and supplies needed for daily work assignments • Hand dig with shovels, picks, digging bars to expose located utilities, access underground vaults and pedestals, and complete trenches, Demo. • Operate jackhammers, and powered tools. • Clean and maintain all equipment assigned for use. • Capable of working in all temperatures and climates • Willingness to work overtime when necessary. • Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Job Requirements: • Valid CA Driver’s License, insurance and clean DMV record a MUST! • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities. • Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing. • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely. • Ability to understand, follow written and oral instructions. • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time. • Ability to work in current weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, rain, dust, and wind. • Team player/positive attitude • Communicate issues as they arise with supervisor While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and stand; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee is required to drive their own vehicle. Compensation: $18 - $21/hr Depending on experience.
