LAKEWOOD, OH — Bruce Ford Jr. turned himself into Lakewood police on Friday evening. Ford was wanted in connection to the death of a 44-year-old man who was slain on May 2 in a Lakewood apartment. Wilmarie Ford, 22, from Cleveland, was also taken into custody in connection to the shooting. Bruce Ford turned himself into Lakewood police on Friday. He was transported to Solon Jail, where he is being held without bond. Both Fords face charges of aggravated murder, police said. On Sunday morning, a 44-year-old man was shot to death in Lakewood. On Monday morning, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the slain man as Shontell Rose. Rose, from Lakewood, was found dead inside an Elmwood apartment. The medical examiner's team reported that his death is being classified as a suspected homicide. Gunshots were heard near the Elmwood apartment on Sunday morning. When police arrived to investigate, they found several spent shell casings outside of Rose's apartment door. When Rose didn't answer, police forced their way inside. They found Rose inside the apartment, with a gunshot wound to his head. He was declared dead at the apartment. No one else appears to have been hurt in the shooting, Police Chief Kevin Kaucheck told Patch. Investigation into Rose's death is ongoing.
