I have found a wonderful group called Share Waste. It connects gardeners, composters, vermicomposters with people who are tired of throwing food waste, lawn clippings, leaves etc into our landfills. This helps sequester carbon and nitrogen in our soils instead of landfills where it rots and creates noxious and often dangerous gasses. Food waste etc are a huge part of what goes into our landfill.
