LEGACCY - USA, Inc., dba Good Sports - USA is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization whose meeting at-risk youth where they are in our community and whose mission is to Leverage diverse community partnerships that Empower, Grow and Advance Challenged Communities & at-risk Youth who reside in low income and rural neighborhoods throughout Leon and Gadsden Counties. Our services provide at-risk youth with community-based mentoring; homework/tutoring, social/life skills development, employ-ability awareness, education and training as well as local excursions to educational/spiritual religious institutions, businesses, and entertainment venues using adult/college student volunteers and evidenced based practices. We're asking for YOU to volunteer in helping Good Sports - USA attain our fundraising goal in cash or in-kind gifts that will support the opening of our Good Sports - USA Retail Store designed to engage (keep youth busy) and educate at-risk youth on vocational/educational options, train and provide employment opportunities that excite youth about earning, build character and work ethic. Your volunteer support will help to ensure our program sustainability as a training and employment resource for at-risk youth in their neighborhoods year-round, after school and during the summer with the outcome expectation of decreasing youth delinquency, boosting high school graduation rates and preparing our at-risk youth to succeed. We're hoping to open our ideal Good Sports - USA Retail Store location at 2525 South Monroe street in Tallahassee (we're open to other in-kind retail space location offers) and we're asking for your volunteer support in getting the word out to family, friends, co-workers and/ or community partners.
