Description

My house was broken into twice last week. The first time they took my collection (okay, accumulation) of weapons of U.S. military rifles and early "western" rifles and revolvers-think old movies. The second time they just seemed to trash things for their enjoyment including family photos and my train set from 1950. Nothing was museum quality by any means but will only be sold to someone that knows what they are. Military rifles from the 1890s, WW 1 and WW2. The rest were mostly Winchester lever action rifles from the early 1900s to the 1950s with octagonal barrels in 38/55 and 30 cal. The revolvers were mostly in.32, 38, 45 colt and.357. I know these are hard times for everyone but be cautious of any deals on anything when the seller knows little about the item or it was left to them by an elderly relative or friend. Make sure your house is secure and watch out for your neighbors. Mine have been great. An invasion is a terrible thing and as an old curmudgeonly fart that only makes you more wary and suspicious than you may have already been. It can also kick in old memories, guilt and PTSD. Thanks for letting me ramble. I'm no better at this new fangled communication than I am at changing the time on the microwave-it's always 12:00. I just don't know if it's AM or PM. John
