We bring the ranch to the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds through this fun and interactive day camp! Are you or someone your know an animal enthusiast? Do you or someone you know want to learn more about handling farm and ranch animals? Would you like to see what it's like on Old McDonald's farm? Then Urban Ranchers Day Camp is just for you! Join us for a fun filled adventure June 15th through the 18th at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds. The Urban Rancher Camp brings the farm to urban kids. Youth learn first-hand about agriculture, livestock, and animal care and husbandry. Youth will learn how to care for and handle several animals throughout the camp - such as chickens, cows, horses, goats, sheep, and llamas . Camp counselors will lead daily games and projects which will help youth explore where their food comes from. Camp runs from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM each day. On Friday, campers will show off their new farm skills for parents and friends and we will celebrate at a cook out from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.  Camp registration includes a t-shirt, snacks, activities, awards, and the end of camp cook-out on the last day of camp! Lunch is only provided on Friday. Make sure to sign up today - space is limited to 15 participants on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will close on May 17. Open to youth ages 8-13. Masks are required for all indoor portions of camp and encouraged for our outdoor sessions. Youth that do not have a mask will be provided with one. Confirmation, health forms, and additional information will be sent upon receipt.  Colorado State University, U.S. Department of Agriculture and Arapahoe County cooperating.
