Cajoles, External Affairs Manager, City of Houston Office of Business Opportunity to discuss "certification and growing your business and what it means for you!" Pearl K. Cajoles is the External Affairs and Workforce Development Manager for the City of Houston Office of Business Opportunity. Prior to Pearl coming to the City of Houston she was with the University of Houston, where she served as digital marketing manager for the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. In this role, she led marketing and communications projects, and helped increase the college’s reach as community and media liaison. Pearl also spent seven years at the Houston Chronicle, where she began her tenure as writer and editor for neighborhood news, and later for the advertising publications and marketing departments. Pearl’s experience also includes operations management in business process outsourcing (BPO). For three years, she led the international expansion of the editorial and copywriting department for AffinityX, a marketing services agency with offices in Asia and North America. Pearl holds a BA in Communication from the University of St. Thomas.
