Description
Rodeo 101 | Fundraiser | Ladies' Day Out | Appetizers | Bar Service | Guest Speakers | Rodeo| We're going back to our roots! Join us for our Ladies' Day Out event - Thursday, August 12th @ 3pm. We'll wine, dine, & learn about the sport of rodeo from some of the best -- enjoy a stock talk with @sankeyprorodeo and all the usual fun! We're planning a tabled event (tables of eight) to change things up. You can get your girlfriends together & purchase a table, get the boss to buy one for you...or single tickets will also be available for seating at open tables. Kick up your boots after the FUNdraising is over at the Missoula Stampede! Your family can join you at 7pm in our exclusive Chick Pit seating. Frequently Asked Questions: Why a tabled event this year? We are trying something new! Grab 7 of your girlfriends or get the boss to sponsor a table for you and your coworkers! Either way, you’ll round up your table of 8, have a place to put up your boots and rest and spend the day raising money for our neighbors, coworkers, friends & loved ones impacted by a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. We will also have single tickets available and will have several "Free Range Chicks" tables to place single ticket holders at. Your table is your "team" for the day as you learn the ropes of the sport of rodeo & participate in our fun, hands-on, behind-the-chutes event. Compete for rowdiest cowgirls and everyone at your table will win a prize! What is it? Chicks n Chaps™ is a Ladies' Day Out, Rodeo101 & Fundraiser held in conjunction with the Missoula Stampede. Through a hands on clinic, you will get a basic tutorial of the several events of professional rodeo. Additionally, you’ll get to spend time with our stock contractor, Sankey Pro Rodeo, meet Will Rasmussen, PRCA rodeo announcer, and get a tour of the bucking chutes and so much more! What do I get for participating? When you and your friends sign up, you’ll get an afternoon of new experiences! The day is full of fun and activities that will keep you laughing and having a good time. Heavy appetizers, drinks, raffles and silent/live auction items will be part of your day. We have set aside a "Chick Pit" area for you to sit and watch that evening’s Rodeo performance, which starts at 7:00PM – at which time, your family can join us! You'll also get a bag full of goodies, VIP parking, private bar service and the knowledge knowing your money is helping someone in our town who has breast cancer. And we CAN'T let you go without a signature Chicks n Chaps swag bag! This year, in addition to the bag and all its surprises...you'll have a choice between a custom CnC trucker hat or a pink cowboy hat to keep the sun off those beautiful faces! Where does the money go? All proceeds raised from our Chicks n Chaps™ event will stay here in the Missoula area and directly impact individuals in our community affected by breast cancer. What do I wear? Anything that is comfortable for you. You’ll want layers & might want to wear closed-toe shoes, as you will be in the dirt. You can get your "Cowgirl On" and wear boots and Wrangler Jeans or shorts, or a great dress -- as long as you are comfortable. How long does it last? The event begins at 3pm with check in & a chance to mingle, then you will be busy with clinics, activities and heavy appetizers for dinner around 4:30. The rodeo (reserved seating) starts at 7:00 PM and will last an additional couple of hours. Will there be live animals? You’ll be near the rodeo holding pens, but there are not any live animals in the arena with you. We’ll have the Mighty Bucky (what the cowboys practice on) if you want to give that a try, but it’s not mandatory. This clinic is about having fun, learning what rodeo is all about, and spending the day with girlfriends raising awareness and money in the battle against breast cancer. What do I bring? An attitude for fun! Don't forget your ID as NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 21 IS ALLOWED IN THE CHICK AREA! Bring some cash, as you may want to purchase raffle tickets and beverages (we’ll buy your first two). It will likely be warm, so bring items to beat the heat: sunscreen, hat, etc. Also...please remember to drink responsibly and have a designated driver. We want our chicks to have fun, be safe and return next year!
