ISO medium dog for ESA

Description

I've tried many places to find a suitable dog to serve as an Emotional Support Animal first, perhaps Service Animal after training. Ideal size would be medium size. I'm not a huge fan of the temperaments of smaller dogs (chihuahua, toy poodle, shitsu, etc). As I live in an apartment, I don't feel it's right to have a large dog for this purpose. Ideally, I'd love to have a border collie. Their size, activity level, incredible intelligence, and lovable demeanor would fit the purpose. A young animal (1-3 years) would be the best fit, I think. Transitioning to a Service Animal would be incredibly easy with a working breed like the border collie. I'm not at all against other breeds. I'm one of those supreme animal lovers that has to set my own limits. Trying to navigate rescues and shelters is a pain in the rump. The whole process feels incredibly elitist and ableist. The exorbitant fees, applications, and interview process feels wrong on some level. It's even worse when they want pictures of your living space to determine its "appropriate-ness". I'm not a slob, but that feels like a privacy invasion to me. If you have an animal that may fit these criteria and don't charge 2 weeks' pay for a rehoming fee, please message me.
