Learn the basics of birding and explore birding hotspots on Bald Head Island. Are you interested in learning more about birding, but are not sure where to start? Then join us for this limited-time birding tour which starts with a lesson on identifying birds in the classroom and transitions to a guided island tour to practice birding skills and search for birds. Bald Head Island has been designated an “Important Bird Area” by Audubon due to the incredible diversity of birds that can be found here. This three hour program is ideal for people or families who like being outside and want to practice their observation skills and increase their understanding of our feathered friends! Program led by BHIC Education Interns. Binoculars and birding field guides provided. No previous birding experience required. Face masks optional. Meet at the Conservancy.
