Michael began singing with his church’s youth choir, went on to study voice and drama and has been performing ever since. His repertoire includes songs you may not have heard before, and those songs you want to hear again. The classic songs of NAT KING COLE,TONY BENNETT, AND FATS WALLER, as well as new classics by AL JARREAU, GROVER WASHINGTON JR, AND LUTHER VANDROSS. Michael’s heart and soul interpretations of oldies by OTIS REDDING, SAM COOKE, MARVIN GAYE and LOU RAWLS are both nostalgic and inspiring. For the theatre-enthusIast, Michael’s cabaret act, which includes medleys from THE MAN OF LAMANCHA, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, and a trip to the old vaudeville stage as BERT WILLIAMS, will take the audience on an entertaining and moving journey- from rousing fun to soft ,sweet romance. Michael has worked with both adult and children’s theater groups and performed a variety of theatrical presentations ranging from humorous to dramatic that include historical and fictional representations for schools and learning institutions. He has appeared in commercials, television shows and movies, including a recent appearance on the hit show “Everybody Hates Chris”. He has appeared with Martin Lawrence, Monigue and was featured in Ted Lange’s original musical “The Life and Times of Biddy Mason in Los Angeles.
