THONOTOSASSA, FL — Two drivers have died after crashing nearly head on in Thonotosassa Saturday morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 3:50 a.m. Saturday, A 29-year-old Dade City man was driving a pickup truck north on U.S. 301 north of Saint Francis Lane. A 61-year-old Zephyrhills man was driving a sports utility vehicle south on U.S. 301 when the pickup truck crossed the centerline and entered the path of the SUV. The pickup truck and SUV collided nearly head on. The pickup truck rotated while the SUV overturned and rolled off a bridge into a ditch. Both men died at the scene.
