Pike Day Ghost Tours 2021 Brownsville Historical Society, Nemacolin Castle, is once again offering our famous Ghost tours for our Pike Days Celebration May 14th and 15th 2021. Tickets are very limited. Cost is $15 dollars per person.( No refunds) Please Follow all CDC Guidelines- Masks are required. For questions please check out our Facebook page or call us at 724-785-6882 Q: Can I bring my child/children? A: This a Ghost tour- And you know your child. We do not recommend the tour for a child under the age of 8. HOWEVER, this is up to the parent/guardian. If you child is interested in ghosts/ ghost stories this may be something they might enjoy. Please remember, once inside there is NO refunds. Q: Does something/someone jump out and scare me? A: NO! That is not what we do. Q: How long is the tour? A:The tour is approximately 1 hour. Q: Can I smoke on the Grounds A: We ask our smoking visitors to refrain from smoking on the grounds for a few reasons; one,being that we are owned by the county which has a non-smoking policy. Secondly, we are a picnic site, and there are leaves and wildlife that live on the grounds. Please, do not smoke on the grounds. Q: Is the tour handicap accessible? A: The downstairs is handicap accessible, however the second floor is not. Being that Nemacolin Castle is a historic structure, there are stairs only. There are no elevators or escalators. If you have any questions, please contact us for more info. Q:Can I take photos on tour? A.:Still photos are permitted, however video recording is NOT permitted at any time along the tour. Any guest caught taking video will immediately be asked to stop recording and leave the tour. Q: Are there restrooms? A: Yes, there are public restrooms on the grounds. Q: Can I bring food or drink on tour? A: No food or drink is allowed inside the castle and alcohol is strictly prohibited. Q: Can I leave the tour should I need to? A: If for any reason you feel you need to leave the tour, just alert your tour guide and a staff member will lead you to the nearest exit. However, please take note that once the tour begins there are no refunds. Q: What can I expect along the tour? A: A guide will lead you through the halls of Nemacolin Castle, stopping in each room and telling your group the TRUE stories of paranormal activity experienced there. There are no "costumed characters" who will jump out to scare you or staged acts designed to enhance.There are only the eerie stories of the unexplained and ghostly phenomenon for which Nemacolin Castle is widely known and famous for. Anything "paranormal" you might experience is most likely direct from the spirits themselves! Q: Are there any other events on Castle grounds during the ghost tours? A: Yes! On Saturday evening stop by the Civil War encampment of the 40th Pennsylvania Infantry reenactment unit. Talk with Union soldiers about the War Between the States. They may even share a Civil War Ghost Story or two with you as well!! There will be food vendors on the grounds on Saturday.
