Job Type: Full-time boat Mechanic/ Technician This very active Boat Dealership looking for a work-oriented Mechanic/Technician. Experienced boat and marine Technician / Mechanics Qualifications. • 2 years experience as a boat Technician • Must have your own tools • certification helpful Must have references Responsibilities: Service and repair Boats as per factory guidelines. • Other duties may be assigned. • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment • Professional appearance and work ethics- uniformed shirts provided • Excellent organizational skills • Job is physical and requires frequent bending, twisting, lifting, squatting and walking • Valid CA driver license The ideal candidate is a skilled mechanic that is a self-starter, fast learner, detail oriented and have strong organizational and prioritizing skills. Must be able to work respectively with others. Must have skills with new boat process; inboard, sterndrive and outboard engines. Must be able to diagnose and repair boat systems including engines, steering, transmission, and electrical …etc. Complete service and repairs efficiently, safely and correct with company safety policies and procedures. Communicate directly with service manager and service writers regarding the status of the service work to keep boats processing through the shop in a timely manner. Learn new technical information and techniques when needed to complete jobs. Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with repairs with honesty and integrity. Working knowledge of shop equipment; air compressor, hoists, diacom computer system. There is education that is provided and available. There is both service school and additional training.
