Press release from Cincinnati Public Schools: May 7, 2021 The district recently updated its COVID-19 safety plan regarding field trips. Field Trips Effective immediately: Walking field trips to Cincinnati Recreation Centers in small groups are permitted. Beginning with the Summer Scholars Program: Walking field trips to outdoor locations will be permitted. Other field trips are still not permitted at this time. Indoor Events Indoor events that include guests and visitors, such as performances with live audiences, are not permitted. We recently ran a pilot with an audience at an SCPA production. The outcome is still being developed. Indoor events may still be live-streamed and attended by a virtual audience. Outdoor events are permitted with all safety precautions in the District Safety Plan. Your patience with the safety protocols is appreciated, while we slowly and methodically relax the safety plan, based on our region's COVID transmission rates, vaccination rates for adults and children, and guidance from our local health department.
