Press release from Cincinnati Public Schools: May 7, 2021 The number of students experiencing homelessness in our district is on the rise, jumping from 2,410 in early February to 3,065 in April. Project Connect, a program founded in 1996, helps provide CPS students experiencing homelessness with backpacks, school supplies, uniforms, transportation, after-school tutoring and more. While the school year may be winding down, Project Connect will continue to serve and identify students experiencing homelessness throughout the summer and community support provides much-needed assistance.
